Statues

Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique (also called "the Centre") is a non-profit organisation created by Médecins Sans Frontières France in 1986

The organisation is made up of all the members of Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique, represented by a Board of Directors.  The BoD’s role is to set the main priorities for Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique. It approves operational projects and guarantees that activities undertaken by Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique are consistent with our identity and the Médecins Sans Frontière charter.

Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique is expanding our activities in compliance with a quality assurance policy and legal, regulatory, and financial obligations under the applicable statutes: Pharmaceutical Establishment, Bonded Warehouse, HPC (Humanitarian Procurement Centre certified by the Humanitarian Affairs Department of the European Commission, ECHO).

Pharmaceutical Establishment: authorisation granted by the French Agency for the Safety of Health Products (ANSM). This status allows Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique to purchase, store, and distribute medicines.

Bonded warehouse: this status is granted by the General Directorate for Customs and Indirect Taxation and allows Médecins Sans Frontières Logistique to purchase and store merchandise without being charged import duties while products await shipment to MSF missions.

HPC: The Humanitarian Procurement Centre certification delivered by ECHO allows NGOs to make purchases quickly and economically using simplified procurement procedures. For projects that are financed by ECHO, the processing fees incurred during purchases are reimbursed to the NGOs. To learn more: ECHO website.
